Strong Start

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey
- 1/2 ounce demerara sugar simple syrup
- 4 ounces freshly brewed coffee
- Amarula and vanilla whipped cream, for topping
- Zest of orange, garnish
- Ground cinnamon, garnish
For the Amarula and Vanilla Whipped Cream:
- 1 ounce Amarula (South African orange cream liqueur)
- 3 ounces heavy cream, cold
- 2 dashes vanilla extract
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
Instructions
Cocktail
- Combine coffee, whiskey, and syrup in a clear coffee mug. Top with Amarula and vanilla whipped cream. Garnish with fresh orange zest and grated cinnamon.
Whipped Cream
- Whip all ingredients in a shaker until light and fluffy. Alternatively, place all 4 ingredients in a blender and lightly pulse until the cream becomes fluffy.
