Spring Sangria

Ingredients
  

  • 4 ounces chenin blanc
  • 1 ounce lemon simple syrup, recipe below
  • 2 ounces fresh orange juice
  • Ice
  • Splash of sparkling wine
  • 1 slice fresh orange, for garnish
  • Fun straw, optional

For the lemon simple syrup:

  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing glass, combine chenin blanc, lemon simple syrup, and orange juice. Stir well. Fill a large glass with ice, then pour the mixture over the ice. Top with a splash of sparkling wine and garnish with a fresh orange slice. Add a fun straw if desired and enjoy!

For the lemon simple syrup:

  • Mix lemon juice, water, and sugar in a medium saucepan over low heat until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally. Cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
